Tutoring Franchise Dubai
Dubai is one of the world's most competitive private-school markets. Success Tutoring is looking for franchise partners and a master franchise partner to bring its membership-based K–12 tutoring centres to the emirate.

Few cities spend as much on education per child as Dubai. Most children in the emirate attend fee-paying private schools, families compare schools on published inspection ratings, and parents expect visible progress for what they pay. That makes a tutoring franchise in Dubai a natural fit for a structured, membership-based model like Success Tutoring's.
Success Tutoring does not yet have a centre in Dubai. We are looking for franchise partners, and for a master franchise partner for the wider UAE, who want to build the brand here. Territories in Dubai are not drawn yet: they are mapped with each partner, around the communities where school-age families actually live.
How schooling works in Dubai
Private schools in Dubai are regulated by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA). KHDA inspects schools and publishes a rating for each one, on a six-point scale from Outstanding to Very Weak. Those ratings are public, they influence which schools may raise fees, and parents read them closely when choosing a school.
What makes Dubai unusual is the number of curricula operating side by side:
- UK curriculum schools, which follow the English National Curriculum through to IGCSEs and A-levels, and are the largest group.
- Indian curriculum schools, mostly following CBSE, with some offering ICSE and ISC, and Class 10 and Class 12 board exams.
- US curriculum schools, with grade-based programmes, Advanced Placement courses and SAT preparation.
- International Baccalaureate schools offering the PYP, MYP and Diploma Programme.
- Smaller groups following French, German, Filipino, Pakistani, Iranian and Ministry of Education curricula.
For a tutoring business this matters. A child in a British school in Al Barsha and a child in a CBSE school in Al Qusais face different exams and different timelines, but both need strong English and Maths. A centre that teaches the fundamentals well, and understands how each curriculum assesses them, can serve both.
Why Dubai families pay for extra help
Expatriate families make up most of Dubai's population, and many move between countries and curricula more than once. A child who arrives from Mumbai, Manchester or Manila may have gaps in maths topics or written English that the new school assumes are already in place. Tutoring is often how families close those gaps quickly.
Exam pressure adds to this. CBSE Class 10 and 12 results, GCSE and A-level grades, and IB Diploma scores all feed into university applications in the UK, India, North America and Australia. Parents who are paying significant school fees want certainty that their child is on track well before the final year.
KHDA has also moved to formalise tutoring. It introduced a permit for private tutors in 2023, signalling that the regulator wants families to use legitimate, accountable providers. A branded, licensed centre with trained tutors and a clear programme sits on the right side of that shift.
Where the opportunity sits in Dubai
Demand follows families, and Dubai's families have spread far beyond the older central districts. Communities that would suit an in-centre tutoring business include:
- Established family suburbs such as Mirdif, Al Barsha, Jumeirah, Umm Suqeim and Al Warqa.
- Newer master-planned communities such as Dubai Hills Estate, Arabian Ranches, Damac Hills, Town Square, Tilal Al Ghaf and Mudon.
- High-density neighbourhoods with many young families, including Jumeirah Village Circle, Al Furjan, Discovery Gardens and Silicon Oasis.
- Growth areas in the south, around Dubai South and the Expo City district.
- Northern districts such as Al Qusais, Muhaisnah and Al Nahda, where many Indian-curriculum schools are clustered.
Boundaries are set together with the partner, using resident and child population figures, the schools in the catchment and the tutoring providers already operating there. Every territory belongs to a single partner.
What a Success Tutoring partner gets
Success Tutoring was started in Sydney in 2017 by Michael Black, then 17, and has since grown into a franchise network across Australia, with international markets announced in New Zealand, the United States, Canada, Singapore, the UK and India. In a city as brand-conscious as Dubai, a recognisable programme with a visible centre and a consistent method gives parents something to compare against freelance tutors.
Support for a Dubai partner may include the Success Kit and our operating system; help finding, leasing and fitting out a retail-style site, whether in a community mall or a neighbourhood retail strip; tutor recruitment and training through our online franchise platform; and learning resources with a structured program. We can also help plan local marketing before and after opening.
Partners receive ongoing support from the Success Tutoring team, and the detail of what is provided sits in the franchise agreement and disclosure documents. You do not need to have been a teacher: many of our partners came from corporate roles, engineering, finance or their own small businesses.
Frequently asked questions
Does a tutoring centre in Dubai need a licence?
Yes. Education and training providers in Dubai need the appropriate trade licence, and educational activities fall under KHDA's oversight. Requirements differ between mainland and free zone set-ups, so confirm them with the authorities and a local adviser before committing to a site.
Can one centre teach students from British, Indian and American schools?
It can. Core fundamentals matter in every curriculum, and tutors adapt the work to the student's school year and exam pathway.
Is there a franchise law in the UAE?
The UAE does not have a standalone franchise disclosure law like Australia's Franchising Code. Franchise agreements are governed by general civil and commercial law, and commercial agency rules can be relevant in some cases. Seek independent legal advice in the UAE before signing.
Is Success Tutoring offering a master franchise for the UAE?
We are open to conversations with experienced operators about a master franchise covering the UAE, as well as with individual partners for single territories in Dubai.
