Tutoring Franchise Dhaka
Dhaka has one of the strongest private tutoring cultures in South Asia. Success Tutoring is seeking franchise partners, and a master franchise partner for Bangladesh, to open structured, membership-based K–12 tutoring centres.

In Dhaka, after-school coaching is part of growing up. Children move from school to coaching centre to home tutor, and families across income levels set aside money for it. A tutoring franchise in Dhaka does not have to persuade parents that extra help is worthwhile; it has to show them a better, more structured version of what they already pay for.
Success Tutoring has no centre in Bangladesh yet. We are seeking franchise partners in Dhaka, and a master franchise partner to develop the brand across the country. Territories are drawn with partners, around the neighbourhoods where school-age families live.
The education landscape in Dhaka
Bangladesh's schools run in three broad streams, and Dhaka has large numbers of all three:
- The national curriculum (Bangla and English versions), set by the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB), with the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) after Class 10 and the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) after Class 12. Exams are run by the education boards, with the Dhaka Board the largest.
- English-medium schools, which teach the British curriculum and enter students for Cambridge or Pearson Edexcel O levels and A levels, often sitting the exams through the British Council.
- Madrasa education, with its own Dakhil and Alim certificates.
The national curriculum has been reformed and then partly reversed in recent years, and those changes left many parents unsure how their children are being assessed. That uncertainty tends to push families towards tutors who can give their child a firm grounding regardless of the latest policy shift.
Why Dhaka families spend on tutoring
The pressure points are well known to every Dhaka parent:
- SSC and HSC results, especially the GPA-5 grade, which shape college and university options.
- University and medical admission tests, including entry to public universities, engineering institutions and medical colleges, where competition for places is intense.
- O level and A level grades, which English-medium families use for admission to universities abroad.
- English proficiency, which parents in every stream see as essential for their child's future.
Government policy has tried to stop school teachers from privately tutoring their own students, and many parents are frustrated with large, crowded coaching batches. There is clear room for a professional centre with small groups, trained tutors, a proper curriculum and regular progress reporting.
Where a centre could work in Dhaka
Dhaka is dense, congested and very local. Families prefer a centre within a short trip of home or school, which makes neighbourhood-level territories important. Areas with strong potential include:
- Gulshan, Banani and Baridhara, home to many English-medium schools and higher-income families.
- Dhanmondi and Lalmatia, long-established education hubs with a large concentration of schools and coaching centres.
- Uttara, a large planned residential area in the north with many young families.
- Bashundhara Residential Area and the areas around it, with new housing, private universities and schools.
- Mirpur and Mohammadpur, populous districts with strong demand for affordable, structured tutoring.
- Purbachal and Narayanganj, longer-term growth areas on the city's edge.
Every Dhaka territory would be mapped with its partner, using the number of residents and children, the schools within reach and the coaching competition already present. Each would be held by one partner only.
Running a Success Tutoring centre in Bangladesh
Michael Black founded Success Tutoring in 2017 at the age of 17, working from his parents' home in Western Sydney, and the business now franchises centres across Australia. Its international plans include New Zealand, the US, Canada, Singapore, the UK and India. Bangladesh is one of the markets the franchise site serves directly.
In Dhaka, the support a partner receives would start with finding the right premises, often the hardest part in a dense city where parents will not travel far through traffic. Our team can help with site selection, leasing and fit-out. Support may also include the Success Kit, online training for partners and their tutors, learning resources and a structured program, and launch and marketing support for opening a new centre. The franchise agreement and disclosure documents describe exactly what that support involves.
No teaching background is required. Many of our partners came from business, finance, engineering and corporate careers.
Frequently asked questions
Can Success Tutoring support both Bangla-medium and English-medium students?
The programme is built for school-age students, and its content is likely to suit those learning in or through English. Whether it fits Bangla-medium learners preparing for SSC, HSC or O levels would be assessed locally, and the right mix of students would be planned with each partner.
How is a membership different from a coaching centre batch?
Families join as members and attend regular weekly sessions in a planned programme, rather than buying a block of exam cramming. That approach is meant to give students continuity from week to week.
Is there a franchise law in Bangladesh?
Bangladesh does not have a franchise-specific disclosure law. Franchise agreements are governed by contract and company law, and foreign payments may involve central bank rules. Seek independent legal advice in Bangladesh before signing.
Is Success Tutoring looking for a master franchise partner in Bangladesh?
Yes. We are open to discussions with experienced operators who could develop the brand across Dhaka, Chattogram and other cities. Individual partners for single territories are also welcome.
