Spring is a sprawling, unincorporated area along I-45 between Houston and The Woodlands, named after the historic railroad town at Spring Creek. It has no city government and no single school district, but it does have hundreds of thousands of residents and a huge number of children. For a tutoring franchise in Spring, that is the opportunity: dense family neighborhoods, several districts with very different profiles, and major new employers. Success Tutoring launched in the United States in Texas, and Spring is one of the core growth areas on the Houston map.

The biggest recent change came at Springwoods Village, a large mixed-use development near I-45 and the Hardy Toll Road. ExxonMobil built its campus there and made it the company's global headquarters in 2023, and Hewlett Packard Enterprise also moved its headquarters to Springwoods Village. Thousands of jobs and new apartments, offices and shops have followed.

Klein ISD, Spring ISD and Conroe ISD

A Spring address can mean any of three main districts:

  • Klein ISD covers the western half of Spring and the Champions area. Its high schools include Klein, Klein Oak, Klein Collins, Klein Forest and Klein Cain. Klein ISD is a large, well-regarded suburban district with strong AP, fine arts and career programs, and many families choose homes specifically to be zoned to it.
  • Spring ISD covers much of eastern Spring along I-45 and the Aldine Westfield corridor. Its high schools include Spring, Westfield and Dekaney, plus the Carl Wunsche Sr. career academy and the Spring Early College Academy. Spring ISD serves many lower-income and English-learning families, and campus results vary.
  • Conroe ISD serves the communities north of Spring Creek in Montgomery County, including the Harmony master-planned community.

All follow the Texas Education Agency's TEKS standards and STAAR testing, which Texas plans to replace with a new three-part test from 2027–28.

Why families in Spring look for tutoring

  • Different districts, different needs. In Klein ISD neighborhoods, parents often want help getting their children into advanced tracks and AP courses. In parts of Spring ISD, families want help closing gaps in reading and math. A tutoring center can serve both.
  • Corporate relocations. ExxonMobil, HPE and other employers have brought transferred families to the area, many from overseas or other states, whose children need to adjust to TEKS and Texas testing.
  • Bilingual households. Spring has large Hispanic, Nigerian, Vietnamese and South Asian communities, and many parents want strong English reading and writing alongside math.
  • Commuter routines. Parents working downtown, at Bush Intercontinental Airport or in the Energy Corridor need a reliable after-school routine.

Cypresswood, Springwood, Grogan's Point and Harmony Landing

Spring's Success Tutoring territories are:

  • Cypresswood, named after the Cypresswood Drive corridor on the west side, in the heart of Klein ISD's established neighborhoods.
  • Springwood, near the Springwoods Village development and the I-45 and Grand Parkway corridor.
  • Grogan's Point, around the neighborhoods along Grogan's Point Road on the southern edge of The Woodlands.
  • Harmony Landing, on the north side of Spring Creek, near the Harmony community and the fast-growing Montgomery County neighborhoods along the Grand Parkway.

Retail is spread along FM 2920, Louetta Road, Kuykendahl Road, Spring Cypress Road and Rayford Road, plus the shopping at CityPlace in Springwoods Village and Old Town Spring, a historic district of shops and restaurants that draws visitors from across the region. Master-planned communities such as Gleannloch Farms and Harmony have brought in many families.

Lone Star College–University Park and Lone Star College–North Harris are nearby sources of tutors. For neighboring markets, see our The Woodlands and Cypress pages, or the wider Houston page.

What a Spring partner receives

Success Tutoring partners in Spring run a retail-style learning center where families join as members and attend weekly English and math sessions from kindergarten to grade 12. Head office support may include site selection, leasing, fit-out, tutor recruitment and online training, and launch and marketing support for a new center; the franchise agreement and FDD describe it in detail.

You do not need a teaching background. Spring's large community of energy and corporate professionals includes many people with management experience. Partners have ongoing support from the Success Tutoring team.

Frequently asked questions

Which school district would a Spring center serve?

It depends on the territory. Cypresswood is mostly Klein ISD, Harmony Landing is mostly Conroe ISD, and territories along I-45 draw from Spring ISD and Klein ISD. The table on this page lists the schools in each territory.

How has ExxonMobil's move affected Spring?

ExxonMobil's headquarters move to its Spring campus, along with HPE's, has added jobs, new housing and retail to the area around Springwoods Village, and brought relocated families who often look for help adjusting to Texas schools.

Why do some territory names appear on both the Spring and The Woodlands pages?

Spring and The Woodlands sit next to each other, and territories near the boundary fall within both pages' areas. Each territory can only be held by one partner.

Do I need to register a franchise in Texas?

No. Texas does not require franchise registration. Under the FTC Franchise Rule, you receive the Franchise Disclosure Document at least 14 days before signing or paying. Seek independent legal advice.
