Georgetown is the Williamson County seat, about 30 miles north of downtown Austin on I-35, and few cities in America have grown faster. US Census Bureau estimates named it the fastest-growing US city with 50,000 or more residents in 2015, 2021 and 2022, and its population passed 85,000 by 2022. For a tutoring franchise in Georgetown, that growth matters because so much of it now comes from young families. Success Tutoring launched in the United States in Texas, and Georgetown is the northern anchor of its Austin-area map.
Georgetown is best known for its Victorian courthouse square and for Sun City Texas, a very large active-adult community. But the newer neighborhoods on the east, south and west sides are full of young children, and that is where demand for tutoring is building.
Georgetown ISD and nearby districts
Georgetown ISD serves most of the city. Its main high schools are Georgetown High School and East View High School, and the district has added new elementary and middle schools as enrollment climbs. It offers gifted and talented services, advanced and dual-credit coursework, and career programs in areas such as health science and engineering.
Georgetown's growth means many neighborhoods sit near district lines:
- Round Rock ISD covers parts of the south, including some of the Teravista area.
- Liberty Hill ISD takes in western neighborhoods along SH-29 towards the Hill Country.
- Jarrell ISD serves the fast-growing area to the north along I-35.
Every district follows the Texas Education Agency's TEKS standards. Students take STAAR from grade 3, and the state plans to replace STAAR with three shorter tests across the year from 2027–28.
What brings Georgetown families to tutoring
- New families, new schools. With new campuses opening and attendance zones changing, parents want a consistent program for their children.
- Relocations. A large share of new residents have moved from California, other states and other parts of Texas, and their children need to adjust to TEKS and Texas testing.
- Advanced coursework. Families want children ready for accelerated math in middle school and AP or dual-credit courses in high school.
- Long commutes. Many parents drive to Round Rock, north Austin or the new manufacturing sites around Taylor, so after-school time needs structure.
The Georgetown territory
The available Success Tutoring territory is Georgetown, centered on the city's family neighborhoods. Its catchment includes the established streets around the historic square and Southwestern University and the newer communities spreading along Williams Drive, University Avenue (SH-29) and the I-35 frontage.
Some of the communities shaping Georgetown's growth:
- Wolf Ranch, a large master-planned community on the west side along the San Gabriel River, with new schools nearby and the Wolf Ranch Town Center shopping district at I-35 and University Avenue.
- The Rivery and the neighborhoods near downtown.
- Berry Creek and the north-side developments along I-35 and Williams Drive.
- Teravista, straddling the Round Rock and Georgetown line.
Retail corridors along Williams Drive, University Avenue and Leander Road, and new centers on the east side along SH-130, give partners plenty of options for a center near schools. Southwestern University, the oldest university in Texas, is a source of student tutors close to downtown.

Starting a Success Tutoring center in Georgetown
Georgetown partners run a retail-style learning center where families join as members and attend weekly English and math sessions, from kindergarten to grade 12. Support from Success Tutoring may cover site selection, leasing, fit-out, tutor recruitment and training, learning resources, and help planning local marketing around Wolf Ranch and the square before and after opening. What is provided is set out in the franchise agreement and FDD.
You do not need a teaching background. Many partners come from corporate, engineering, finance or small-business careers, and Georgetown's growing community of relocated professionals suits that profile. Ongoing support is provided by the Success Tutoring team.
