Dashed circles mark larger cities and towns where territories have not been mapped yet; their size reflects the estimated number of territories.
Territory data last updated .
Georgia has grown past 11 million residents, according to the US Census Bureau, and much of that growth has come from young families settling in metro Atlanta's suburbs and, more recently, around Savannah. A tutoring franchise in Georgia would tap into a parent community that tracks test scores closely and knows exactly what a B average is worth when the HOPE Scholarship is on the line.
Texas is the brand's US starting point. Georgia has no Success Tutoring centers yet, so partners who sign here would carry the name into the Southeast for the first time.
Standards and testing in Georgia
The Georgia Department of Education sets what students learn and how they are tested. The state has replaced its older Georgia Standards of Excellence in the two subjects Success Tutoring teaches:
- Math: new Georgia K–12 Mathematics Standards took effect in the 2023–24 school year.
- English language arts: new Georgia K–12 ELA standards, with a dedicated foundational reading strand built on phonics, took effect in 2025–26.
Progress is measured through Georgia Milestones:
- End-of-Grade (EOG) tests in English language arts and math in grades 3 through 8, plus science and social studies in certain grades.
- End-of-Course (EOC) tests in high school, including algebra, American literature and composition, biology and US history.
The 2025–26 school year was the first time Milestones ELA tests were aligned to the new standards. When standards and tests change at the same time, parents often look for outside help to understand where their child stands.
School sectors and choice
Georgia has 180 school districts organized mostly by county. Metro Atlanta's big systems, including Gwinnett County Public Schools, Cobb County, DeKalb County and Fulton County, are among the largest in the nation. There is also a sizable charter sector, a large private and Christian school market, and the Georgia Promise Scholarship, created in 2024, which offers funds for families zoned to lower-performing public schools.
What drives tutoring demand in Georgia
- The HOPE Scholarship. HOPE helps Georgia students pay for in-state college and requires a 3.0 GPA in core courses. That makes every high school math and English grade count, and families start building skills well before high school.
- Gifted and accelerated programs. Metro districts run gifted services and accelerated math tracks with eligibility criteria, and families want their children ready.
- Competitive college admissions. Admission to the University of Georgia and Georgia Tech has become more selective, which pushes families to aim for strong grades and test scores.
- New residents. Families relocating from other states and countries need help adapting to Georgia standards.
Families sign on as members, and students come in each week for English and math in a structured program covering kindergarten through grade 12. That steady rhythm suits parents who are thinking about HOPE years before high school.
Where Georgia is growing
North metro Atlanta. Forsyth County, including Cumming, has been one of the fastest-growing counties in the state, with Forsyth County Schools adding campuses. Nearby Johns Creek, Alpharetta, Milton and Suwanee are high-demand family areas, and Cherokee County around Woodstock and Canton keeps adding subdivisions.
Gwinnett and the northeast. Lawrenceville, Dacula, Buford and Hamilton Mill, plus Jackson and Barrow counties further out along I-85, are drawing young families.
South metro. Henry County, including McDonough and Stockbridge, plus Fayette County's Peachtree City and Fayetteville, have grown with logistics and film-industry jobs.
Coastal Georgia. Pooler, Richmond Hill and Bryan County near Savannah are growing quickly, helped by the port and the Hyundai Metaplant.
Other cities. Athens, Macon, Augusta's Columbia County suburbs such as Evans and Grovetown, and Columbus all have established family markets.

Frequently asked questions
How do Georgia's new standards affect tutoring?
Georgia introduced new math standards in 2023–24 and new ELA standards in 2025–26, with Milestones tests realigned to match. Parents often want help understanding the changes and making sure their child keeps up with the new expectations.
Does the HOPE Scholarship create demand for tutoring?
It can. HOPE requires a 3.0 GPA in core courses, so many families look for consistent support in math and English throughout middle and high school, not only before exams.
Is Georgia a franchise registration state?
Georgia does not require franchisors to register. The Federal Trade Commission's rule is what governs the sale: the franchisor must hand you its Franchise Disclosure Document 14 days or more before any signature or payment. Ask a Georgia franchise attorney to review it independently.
Which parts of Georgia is Success Tutoring targeting first?
Success Tutoring is looking for partners across Georgia, with the fast-growing metro Atlanta suburbs and coastal Georgia as natural starting points. Territories are drawn with partners around the communities they want to serve.
